About The Artist
Born and raised in Detroit Michigan, Mr. Ford has loved the arts since he was a child. Throughout his life he has sought every opportunity to expand his knowledge and skill set. Mr. Ford studied architecture at Cass Technical High School. After graduating in 1997, he joined the U.S. Marines and served until commissioning in the U.S. Navy in 2010. While in the Marines he earned his BS in Civil Engineering. He still serves in the Navy as a Civil Engineering Officer. Ford takes his love for creating art, his background of architecture, and his knowledge of engineering to create art that lives, loves and lifts.

On November 10, 1775, the Second Continental Congress meeting in Philadelphia passed a resolution stating that "two Battalions of Marines be raised" for service as landing forces with the fleet. This resolution established the Continental Marines and marked the birth date of the United States Marine Corps.
It is with great Honor, Pleasure and Privilege, that I present this dedication to those Men and Women of the Corps that have fought and continue to fight today for love of God, Country, and Corps.
Here at Reclaimed Treasures, we take pride in taking a item that may be looked at as useless or has run it course and creating something beautiful and memorable. This piece was once a cabinet for silverware but now it has a new life, purpose and soon it will have a new home.
The top is laser engraved with the U.S. Marine Corp emblem. Upon opening the box there is a customized canvas moral of the raising of the American flag on Iwo Jima. You will also find 6 "1775" laser engraved slate coasters and 6 laser engraved "USMC" glasses inside. The bottom drawer contains one last surprise. The birth place of the Marines. A wooden plaque of Tun Tavern, PA. Also included is 12 stainless steel reusable ice cubes.
I know this piece will be treasured and loved but I do ask, that whoever becomes the owner of this piece remember the sacrifice of our brave men and women in the Military. Not only those in the Corps, but all of our great services.
